I am sharing with you the last of all the shoots from the newest issue of Metro Detroit Weddings! But don’t worry, we are going to start on the next issue very soon! And I’ll have more work to show you from other shoots within the next couple of months.
For this shoot, we went for a 1960’s vibe and shot at the Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor. I’d love to actually come back to the Graduate to actually stay. It could be a staycation!
Madly in Love
Ann Arbor’s charmingly quirky Graduate Hotel sets the scene for a modern take on vintage-inspired looks for the entire wedding party
Inspired by classic collegiate style, Ann Arbor’s Graduate hotel evokes a cozy club feel with nods to the history and culture of the town. In the guest rooms, charcoal grey flannel walls set the backdrop for preppy plaids and rustic wood accents.
The Presidential Suite at Graduate Ann Arbor offers sweeping views of downtown Ann Arbor. Cozy and chic, it’s the perfect retreat for newlyweds.
The hand-drawn equations found on the columns in the lobby are inspired by the automotive engineering industry.
At the Allen Rumsey Cocktail Lounge, Chef Halprin has crafted a menu with classic super club cuisine, including a Lazy Susan of pickles, relishes, breads and spreads. The restaurant’s retro ethos continues through the bar menu, with classic cocktails and house favorites made with local liquors.
The 40-foot long, 60-seat communal table in the lobby (previous photo) encourages guests to gather and share ideas. The extra-long table was inspired by the University of Michigan’s law library and is meant to bring together travelers and locals alike. The “Death of a Salesman” painting in the Presidential Suite (this photo) references notable U-M alum and playwright Arthur Miller.
