Mornings can be tough sometimes. We over sleep and are rushing to get ready while shoveling food into our mouths as we run out the door. Now we don’t want every morning to be like that. There are things that can do before bed that can make our mornings and days run smoother.
Write in a Journal
This is something I want to start doing. I used to write in a journal everyday years ago but then I stopped. Writing in a journal allows you to see your dreams, accomplishments and failures so you can reflect upon them. It can also help brainstorm new ideas and problem solving.
Prep for Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You can easily get your breakfast ready the night before. You can make overnight oats or something else you can easily throw in the microwave.
Pick Out Your Outfit
I know I’ve mentioned this before multiple times but picking out your outfit the night before can save you so much time!
Showering the night before, just like picking out your outfit, makes your mornings so much easier since you don’t have to worry about drying and styling your hair. It is also proven that showering at night makes you fall asleep faster.
Write Your to do List
Also like writing in your journal, writing down what you want to accomplish for the next day will save you the time in the morning so you can jumpstart right into your tasks.
Instead of watching another episode on Netflix, spend that extra time tidying up. Waking up to a clean house is less stressful and you won’t be searching for your shoes or keys in the morning.
Go to Bed Early
Going to bed early can be hard to make consistent. Try to to go to bed at least a half hour before you plan on going to sleep. Read a book instead of being on your phone. Write in your journal, or do your night time skincare routine. When you get in the habit of doing this, going to bed early will become easier.
