Sharing with you think pink striped top from J.Crew. A perfect staple for your summer wardrobe!
Pink Striped Button Up
As you probably know pink is one of my favourite colours. I love adding pink pieces to my wardrobe. Make it pink and white and it’s even better. When I first saw this pink and white striped top from J.Crew I knew I had to have it. It did take me awhile to actually purchase it. At the time, I had already spent the money I allow myself each month on clothes.
Unfortunately, by the time I went to go make my purchase it was backordered until July. I did place the order and surprisingly it came within a few weeks. I am wearing a petite xx-small for reference. This top is honestly a great staple for summer.
My bag is from Nordstrom but I ended up returning it after I shot this look. Don’t get me wrong, it makes a very cute wristlet, but when you add the strap to make it a crossbody, it doesn’t lay right. Adding the strap makes it so much more convenient for me for my everyday life. But hey, if you just want to use it as a wristlet, it’s perfect for that since it has a nice big strap!
My earrings are a gift from the New York jewelry brand, AuRate. What I love about AuRate is they use the finest materials possible, using real gold and diamonds that were sourced ethically and are environmentally sound. They are very transparent when it comes to quality, fair pricing and giving. Plus, for every product you buy, they donate a book to the Mastery Charter in New York. The really cool thing is, when my earrings came, I got a little card telling me which book was donated. The book that was donated from my earrings was Third and Indiana. I just love brands that give back and I love knowing what people are actually getting.
You can wear it with the buttons all the way down and either leave it out or tuck it in. Since I paired it with my scallop shorts which are a little bit on the boxy side, I opted to tie it in knot at my waist. The thing about styling is proportion. You don’t want to have a boxy bottoms and a boxy top. Doing that will make you look frumpy and no one wants that. It’s best to opt for one loose and one fitted if possible.
