How’s everyone’s week going so far? I honestly cannot wait for the weekend. Granted my weekend is going to be busy. Saturday, I am going to an event that I planned for my friend’s film festival they started. It’s for Marriage Equality Day. If you happen to live in the Metro Detroit area, you should stop by! I’m making my choux buns and vanilla cupcakes. Then Sunday, I’m dog sitting and seeing Jurassic World.
This week has definitely been something. I feel like it dragged. It’s Friday but I feel like it should’ve been Friday a long time ago. As you probably noticed, I did not post yesterday. Normally I would be stressing to get a post written but I really didn’t care. Publishing 5 posts every week can be a lot and I needed to take a day off. Sometimes you just need a break.
On Tuesday, I had a behaviourist come over to talk about Reika. The thing is, she likes to bark and attack the door when anyone leaves. Doesn’t even have to know the person. I though she was suffering from anxiety and stress. I wanted to put her on Xanax or Prozac, but my vet wanted her to see the behaviourist first. Well she does not have either. Reika is a dominate dog and doesn’t like to be told what to do. She also cannot control her emotions and goes from 0 to 60. Medicine would have made her worse. So for the next few weeks, Reika will be getting tough love and will most likely me disciplined a lot so she knows who’s boss. Wish me luck!
Now lets talk about my outfit! I am loving Target’s new line, Universal Thread. So many cute pieces. I know they are known for their jeans! But I have yet to try on a pair! This top was in a flyer one week and I thought it was so cute!! I love the tie! It goes great with a pair of jeans or even shorts. It is slightly shorter so high waisted is probably the best way to go!
I thought my distressed jeans went great with it. It gives it an effortless vibe. With the vibe I was going for, I wanted a comfortable, flat shoe so I opted for my Birdies! Birdies are technically slippers but they don’t look like them at all. The sole is super thick rubber. They are pricy for a slipper but they are durable and you can wear them outside. And lots of people do use them as a regular shoe too!
Hope you all have a great weekend? Any exciting plans?
