As you guys know, I am all about clean skincare and beauty products. Colleen Rothschild is one of those brands that I know I can trust. With these cold winter months, my skin has definitely taken a toll.
Most of her products are made without parabens, SLS/SLES, toluene, phthalates, PABA, benzene, formaldehyde and triclosan which makes them so much safer than most products out on the market. And some of them are silicone free!
Radiant Skin With Colleen Rothschild
Radiant Cleansing Balm
The cleansing balm was the one product that I really wanted to try. It is a level E3 proprietary delivery system which basically means that each ingredient efficiently works depending on what your skin needs on any given day. The balm is formulated with morigna oil, Lipexel, black seed oil and an aromatic complex. I personally think it smells like cloves and it reminds me of fall and Christmas. It is also super creamy and hydrating and takes off all my makeup effortlessly! I love the way my skin feels afterwards too!
Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum
I absolutely love the smell of this serum! I think it smells like orange blossom. The first time I used it, it reminded me of this old orange blossom perfume my mom used to have. The serum is also a level E3 and contains mandelic acid which refines and resurfaces, lactic acid that helps improve tone and texture and Salicylic acid which helps promote clear skin. Besides the smell, I do love the way my skin looks afterwards. I do feel like I do need to use a bit more than other serums I’ve used. My only complaint is about the bottle itself. The serum kinda squirts out and can get all over the place. I’ve learned to hold it, so the serum at least gets all on my hand and not other places.
I’m always a fan of water that you can spray on your face for added moisture or as a makeup setting spray. The Colleen Rothschild Beauty Water is formulated with coconut water that provides long lasting hydration. I do like to spray it on my face before I put on any of my other skincare products for a little moisture boost! I do like to use it as a makeup setter as well. That is if I remember to use it. I’ve never really used a makeup setter spray before, so I forget a lot to use it. Fragrance has been added but it is very faint. I know some of you like me have sensitivities to that. The scent is almost a refreshing.
Clarifying Detox Mask
This mask is amazing!! It contains activated charcoal and French Kaolin clay that helps to detox pores and leave a more balanced complexion. The first time I used this, I felt a pimple under the skin. Normally it would stay there for awhile before coming to the surface where it would stay even longer. Because of the charcoal in the mask detoxing my pores, brought the pimple to the surface by morning. And the pimple had cleared up in a couple of days when it normally takes at least a week for me. I’ve never had a charcoal mask work this well for me before. I also think the micronized silver, willowherb and vitamin C helped clear it up fast as well! I recently used it again when I was eating a bunch of sweets (I blame all the paczki for Fat Tuesday), and I knew if I didn’t do the mask, I would get another pimple. Well I did the mask and my face is so clear!!!
