Seriously where did the month of January go? I still cannot believe it’s already February. My birthday is later this month too! I really wish time would hold still just a little bit. Anyway, now that it’s a new month, that means it’s time for my January favourites. Surprisingly they are all skincare and beauty products and only 1 TV show!
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD
The new season actually came back in December but instead of it’s normal Tuesday night, ABC moved it to Friday night (big mistake ABC). I know I watched the season premiere in December but with the holidays and all the end of the year photo and commercial shoots, that’s all I was able to watch. I binge watched all the aired episodes really fast in January. So much was going on that I needed to see what was going to happen next. There were some episodes where I was hyperventilating because I was so nervous. I really wish they would move it back to Tuesday’s since the ratings aren’t doing well now. That’s your fault ABC!
Soap & Glory Archery DIY Brow Bar
I had been eyeing this little kit for a few months but I didn’t buy it until I needed it. What first attracted me to it was that it was silicone free. I’m sure you all know by now how I feel about silicone in my beauty and skincare products, and if you don’t know, I hate them and I try to avoid it. The kit comes with a wax, highlighter, two shades and 2 brushes. The only brush in the kit I use, is the one for the wax and then on the other side is a spooly brush to brush in the wax. I mix both shades and use my Sigma slanted brush. Mixing the colours gives me my perfect shade.
Ilia Lip Conditioner in Arabian Nights
If you remember, I mentioned in my December Favourites, that as I was typing it, I realized I forgot to add an Ilia product and this was the one. Ilia is one of my favourite brands that is mostly silicone free. I love their tinted lip conditioners since they are so moisturizing while giving me a build-able colour. Arabian Nights is like a dark berry colour. It’s the colour lip I’ve been wearing it lots of my outfit posts. I do love it a lot. I still love it in Shell Shock but I feel like that is more of a summer colour!
As you know by now, I really like natural, clean products. Natural deodorant is one of those hard ones to find. I’ve talked about Schmidt’s before and while I do like it, my skin is a bit to sensitive for it. And their sensitive formula didn’t work as well as the original. My mom and a couple other people actually highly recommended Native to me. Native works really well and I don’t even need the sensitive formula. I am currently using the scent almond and vanilla and it smells so good. It also lasts all day. Native also offers a subscription service as well so you can choose how often you want it delivered.
Beautycounter Countermatch Collection
Beautycounter released their Countermatch products in the fall. What made them so popular was that the products learned to adapt to your skin and gave your skin what it needed when it needed it. I think this is so cool. If your skin happens to be a bit drier, it will give you more moisture. On Cyber Monday, they created a travel set of all the products. Since I really didn’t need the full size product when they were first released I didn’t want to buy them right away. Since the travel sized were just available for Cyber Monday, I jumped out it. The set comes with Adaptive Moisture Lotion, Eye Rescue Cream, Recovery Sleeping Cream and the Intense Moisture Serum. You do not have to buy the set to try any of these products since they are all sold separately, but I personally think it’s better to buy them as a set since it’s cheaper. The set is only $150 for all 4 products.
That’s everything I have been loving in January! What were your favourites from January?
