I first talked about this high neck top from ASOS in my Victorian Collar post. When I first found it online for that post, I knew I needed it. I think it is gorgeous and the colour is absolutely amazing.
The material also makes it look so luxe, which I love. This top is only $48 and it looks so much more! The back is also a little surprise. I never would guess by looking at the front of the top that the back would be cut out.
The last time I wore a backless top, I was in college and I was in Toronto for a concert (As you can probably tell, I go to Toronto a lot for concerts). It was when Sweet Thing was still a band *cries*. It was black and velvet, and I got it from the vintage clothing store I was interning at back when I was in college. What year was that? 2011? That’s crazy!
Anyways, back to the top! It runs true to size. I am wearing a UK 8, which I think is an x-small/small range. The sleeves do fit a little weird, so maybe sizing up would be better. If you do quite a bit of re-adjusting, it helps a lot.
The sleeves on this top are also amazing. I feel like it goes with the whole victorian theme. Victorian sleeves for a victorian collar. If it wasn’t for the back, the sleeves would definitely make the top.
Now onto Monday. Why do weekends go by so fast? I had a very busy weekend. Reika had her tricks test, which she passed and now has her first title! I also made a chili for a chili cook-off. Busy, busy, busy.
This week is going to be packed. I have so much holiday content that I’m currently working on. Thursday, I have the second half of a commercial shoot. We shot the first half last Thursday. This time it’s a night shoot, about 8 PM to 1 AM. I think I’m going to need a nap.
I hope you all have a good Monday and enjoy the rest of your week.
