To be mindful is all about being more present in our day to day lives. We are all busy and never take them time to do so. Being mindful isn’t something that takes up a lot of our time. Some things take less than 5 minutes to do. Doing this can help reduce stress and anxiety and establish a positive imprint on your well being. Here are 5 things that you can start implementing.
Savour Your Morning Coffee
Or your hot honey lemon water. How often do you drink your morning coffee and are scrolling through Instagram or checking your email? Enjoy this time without any distractions and be in the present.
I’ve mentioned before the benefits of meditation. Meditating is the most obvious way to be more present and it only takes 5 to 10 minutes. When life gets too much, take a few minutes to clear your head and lower stress levels.
Take A Walk
Something as simple as taking a walk to clear your head and stretch your legs is a great way to be mindful of what is around you. Leave your phone and pay attention to you surroundings. This is a great thing to do if you have an office job. Enjoy these 15 minutes during your lunch break.
It is important to listen to your body’s wants and needs. Feel where the tension is and try to stretch it out. Take your time and focus on your breathing. Forget about everything else on your to-do list for these few moments.
Using essential oils is a great way to help with mindfulness. They are a great way to relive stress and keep you focused. Use a diffuser or get a roller ball to roll on your body!
